Apply to Win One of Two $3,000 Scholarships!
Spirit Financial Credit Union is now accepting applications for our annual Thomas Parsons Memorial Scholarship. Each year, we award two $3,000 scholarships to help students take their next step; whether that’s college, trade school, or another post-secondary program.
In memory of Thomas Parsons
This scholarship now carries the name of Thomas “Tommy” Parsons, a Spirit Financial Credit Union Board member who passed away in May 2025. Tom cared deeply about this program because he believed education creates opportunity, and that opportunity should be within reach for the people and families our credit union serves.
Through his years of service on the Board, Tom brought a member-first mindset and a genuine commitment to strengthening our community. Honoring him through this scholarship is one way we continue what mattered to him most: encouraging students who are working hard to build a brighter future.

Two (2) scholarships awarded
$3,000 each
Funds may be used for tuition and/or textbooks
Eligibility
To be eligible, you or one of your immediate family members (mother or father) must have an account in good standing at Spirit Financial Credit Union. Applicants may be a graduating high school senior or other individual enrolling in a post-secondary school.
How to apply
Complete the scholarship application, submit the required essay explaining why you want to continue your education and why you’re applying for this scholarship, and attach a copy of your transcript from your most recent school.
Deadline and announcement
The submission deadline is March 20, 2026. Winners will be announced at Spirit Financial Credit Union’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, beginning at 5:00 PM, held at Spirit Financial Credit Union.
